Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents (Isaacs & Plimpton, Birney & Dowd) agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward. In Fran Kranz’ writing and directing debut, he thoughtfully examines their journey of grief, anger and acceptance by coming face-to-face with the ones who have been left behind.

“Fran’s film is such a powerful exploration of reconciliation and understanding,” said Andrew Karpen, CEO of Bleecker Street. “The film showcases some incredible performances and hopefully will offer audiences a chance to empathize with those who have lost.”

“This is a movie about life after loss and the need for reconciliation,” said Kranz. “I never imagined when I wrote it that it could feel so relevant and urgent and I’m honored to work with Bleecker Street in finding the largest audience possible for this story.”

The film was written and directed by Fran Kranz and produced by Kranz, Casey Wilder Mott, JP Ouellette and Dylan Matlock. The deal was brokered between Kent Sanderson and Avy Eschenasy of Bleecker Street with CAA and The Gersh Agency on behalf of the filmmakers.

Bleecker Street recently released the hit comedy from Sundance, TOGETHER TOGETHER with Ed Helms and Patti Harrison; the Sundance and Venice Film Festival romance, THE WORLD TO COME with Katherine Waterston and Vanessa Kirby; SUPERNOVA with Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci; Kitty Green’s THE ASSISTANT with Julia Garner; and WILD MOUNTAIN THYME with Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan. Upcoming releases include DREAM HORSE starring Toni Collette and Damian Lewis, THE LONELIEST WHALE, a documentary following the search for the whale known as “52,” and I’M YOUR MAN the Berlin Film Festival prize winner starring Maren Eggert and Dan Stevens.
